2016 LFT Brochure

The 2016 Lighting for Tomorrow awards were announced through a webinar hosted by the American Lighting Association on September 12. Additional awards presentations will be conducted at the CEE Industry Partners Meeting on September 15, as well as at the ENERGY STAR® Products Partner Meeting on October 27. These award-winning products are showcased in an online brochure that highlights the 2016 recipients.

Lighting for Tomorrow is launching the fourteenth consecutive annual competition in January 2016. In an effort to help manufacturers gain exposure and push the lighting industry forward with high-quality, innovative, and energy efficient designs, Lighting for Tomorrow identifies exceptional products that will inspire the lighting community.

2016 Launch Activities for the 2016 Lighting for Tomorrow competition will kick off at Dallas Market Center Lightovation, January 20-24. Lighting for Tomorrow will have a booth space at Lightovation. Winning products from the 2015 competition will be showcased in a special display at this event as well.

Benefits of the Competition The Lighting for Tomorrow competition provides manufacturers the opportunity to push the industry forward by introducing high quality and innovative designs, contribute to the greater energy efficiency movement, and gain exposure for their brands and products among industry leaders and consumers alike. In particular, the exceptional products identified by the judging panel are heavily promoted by Lighting for Tomorrow for a full calendar year. Award recipients will also be eligible to be promoted by energy efficiency programs across the US and Canada.

Lighting for Tomorrow 2015 Competition Announced

Lighting for Tomorrow launched its 13th consecutive annual competition at the Dallas Market, January 14–18. In 2015, Lighting for Tomorrow is looking for products that meet market price points as part of the solid state lighting competition such as light emitting diode (LED) A-lamps under $10, contractor lighting (under $50), and decorative replacement lamps. The SSL competition scope includes LED luminaires for specific applications, retrofit kits, and replacement lamps. Lighting for Tomorrow also invites submissions of organic light emitting diode (OLED) luminaires. The 2015 competition continues to build on the momentum from previous competitions for lighting control products, including stand alone, system, and whole house devices. The 2015 Lighting for Tomorrow judges will award bonus points for sustainability for all products, as well as for lighting designed to meet the needs of the growing senior population.
